On the 18th of April Denmark and Prussia fought a decisive battle at Dybbøl. Today this is the biggest day of the year at the history centre, where we have a special programme with activities the entire day. We fire both cannon and rifles and have guided tours throughout the day.

The day begins with a traditional military ceremony at 10.00 at the gravesite on Dybbøl Banke. Everyone is welcome to participate.

1864 Films every day at the History Centre

Inside the History Centre, we have a short introduction movie about the political background as well as two films about the two decisive battles at Sønderborg: Stormdagen (Assault Day) and Angrebet på Als (The Attack on Als).
